Simple, fun, and original
Chameleon Twist is a fun and original game. You play as a chameleon-like character trying to find his way back to his home world using his tongue. No projectiles or fists to defeat enemies, just your tongue. This makes the gameplay truly unique. Add in some fun music and vibrant colors, and you've got yourself a good N64 platformer. The downside, however, is that the game is quite short and sometimes a bit simple. But that's what makes it even more interesting for young gamers.
So, if you're looking for a fun platformer for a young gamer or if you've already played the better platform games, then this game is definitely worth a try.

Unique Tongue Mechanics in a Charming Platformer
Chameleon Twist for the Nintendo 64 is, in my opinion, a charming yet somewhat unbalanced platformer. In this game, you take control of a chameleon with a surprisingly versatile tongue. The gameplay revolves around swinging, grabbing, and swallowing enemies, which provides a unique experience that deviates from the traditional platformers I've encountered. This makes the game feel fresh and innovative, although it can take a bit of getting used to.

The levels are colourful and varied, but the controls can sometimes feel a bit clumsy. Especially during precision jumps, the camera can be frustrating, which can somewhat diminish the enjoyment of the game. The graphical style is simple, even for the N64, but that doesn’t detract from the cheerful atmosphere. The creative mechanics, such as the chameleon's versatile tongue, make up for a lot and give the game a unique charm.

Despite its shortcomings, Chameleon Twist has a certain appeal for fans of quirky platformers. The game offers a fun and challenging experience with a cheerful tone. If you’re looking for a platformer that’s just a bit different, then Chameleon Twist is definitely worth a try. The combination of colourful levels and unique gameplay ensures that the game remains engaging, even with its minor flaws.
