Mario Party is being milked
This was simply the best Mario Party. Mario Party shouldn't have been milked further, because now it's just like the FIFA series: a new installment every year and it gets boring!

Laughing all together!
When Mario Party was released, I was still in my crib. My sisters were a bit older at that time and played this game non-stop. Apparently, I was often watching them play. My first Mario Party was part 4 for the GameCube, but a while back, I ordered the original here on Mario64.nl to take a trip down memory lane of this wonderful series.

I'm still completely in love with it. The concept of the game remains unchanged. Take turns rolling the dice on crazy game boards, collect as many stars as possible, and play one of the wacky mini-games after each round. I think I know every mini-game by heart. The mini-games are diverse, they are so simply designed, and they are also so easy to play! That's what makes this game suitable for everyone.

Ever feel bored? (Buy and) play this game! Fun guaranteed!

THE party game for the Nintendo 64!
Mario Party, I used to rent this from the video store! Until the game was not returned by other renters anymore, and boy was I sour then!

Mario Party is the 1st game of the franchise and in my opinion the best on the N64.

The game fully utilizes the capabilities of the Nintendo 64. You can play it with 4 players! Truly a revolution back then that could put your friendships to the test.

It's all about collecting stars here, which you can buy from Toad and find scattered across the boards, costing 20 coins. Fun and original mini games (where you can earn coins) complete the experience, played by everyone after rolling the dice for 1 round. And be aware that this is indeed the 1st installment! People often mistake it for the 3rd part due to the front of the box.

An absolute recommendation and a must-have for any Nintendo 64 collector. This Mario title is becoming rarer, especially when complete in box. The sequels are also worth playing, but the 1st one remains the best!

Not a perfect 10 as a final score because the mini games where you use the joystick a lot and spin the controller intensively can actually break it. The joystick becomes loose, and that was a real issue back then. Nowadays, it's easy to replace it yourself, but over 20 years ago, it wasn't!

Mario Party is a lot of fun
I think Mario Party is an original game. In my opinion, Nintendo is kind of milking the Party series a bit now. This was/is the first really fun game to spend a cozy evening with friends, apart from Mario Kart. I find this Mario Party very enjoyable and still original, mainly because of the cheerful graphics and fun tunes. It was also the first real Party Game on a console and that's why it definitely belongs in my top 5 favorites!

In certain mini-games of this game, you have to spin the Control Stick on the Nintendo 64 Controller very quickly. This can be tiring for your thumb. Therefore, try spinning the stick with the palm of your hand instead. This is much faster. Just be careful not to do this too long and too hard in a row, as your palm might start to hurt.
