To race as Cale Yarborough, select the Darlington track, highlight "Select Car", then quickly press L, R, L [three times], R [twice], Z.
To race as Richard Petty, select the Martinsville track, highlight "Select Car", then quickly press up-C [twice], down-C [twice], left-C, right-C, left-C, right-C, L, R.
During a race, go to the instant replay screen and choose the camera angle that shows inside the car or through the windshield. Now go back to racing and you'll have a quieter engine.

| Play as Benny Parsons | To race as Benny Parsons in NASCAR 99, select the Richmond track, highlight "Select Car", then quickly press up-C, right-C, down-C, left-C, Z [three times], L, Z [twice]. |
| Paintball Mode | To activate Paintball mode in NASCAR 99, select a single race. Then, while holding the d-pad LEFT, press R, then press B [twice] + A [three times] on the track selection screen. |
| Aerial Tricks | Enable damage in the options menu. During the race, turn around and drive into oncoming traffic. You'll perform stunts like flips and barrel rolls. It won't help you win the race, but it's fun. |
