Reviews Nintendo 64
11 reviews - average rating 8,8Piece of History, Sturdy and Child-Friendly
A beautiful piece of history. This device showcases the transition from the old-fashioned 2D to a brand-new dimension. With dozens of classics like 007 Goldeneye that has influenced future games, the Nintendo 64 remains a valuable possession. If not now, then certainly in the future, it will be worth a lot of money. This gaming console is one of the most child-friendly of them all due to the cartridges and thick plastic. Cijfer:
9,0The ultimate cartridge console
Short loading times, beautiful colors, high-quality games, and sturdy. Simple and good (no patches, updates, online registration, ...). Unique and fun in design and games. The Nintendo 64 is the console for platform/adventure fans.
The only downside is the lack of good third-party games. The Nintendo and Rare games clearly stand out above the others.

A successful first attempt in 3D gaming
With the Nintendo 64, Nintendo made a successful transition from 16-bit to 64-bit. Most games still look good today. Furthermore, there are no loading times, unlike the PlayStation 1 which uses CDs.
The Nintendo 64 has also brought us a number of classics such as Super Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye 007, and so on. Furthermore, this is the first console to have 4-player compatibility built into the console itself.
The only drawbacks I can think of are perhaps the lack of Third Party games (most games are from Nintendo itself and Rare) and the controller that may take some getting used to. But if you generally enjoy Nintendo games, I can definitely recommend this console. Cijfer:

My new favorite
For years, I believed that the SNES was the best console EVER. Since getting an N64 and starting to explore the games, I've noticed that this opinion is starting to waver a bit. What's particularly intriguing about the Nintendo 64 is that despite its almost 20-year existence, it's not far off from modern consoles at all.

Amazing console of true Nintendo quality
The Nintendo 64 has a charm that no other console can match. With the controller featuring three handles, the N64 is a unique system, home to some of the best games ever. Playing the games as remakes or on the Virtual Console doesn't quite capture that feeling, which is why every Nintendo fan (like myself) should own one. It's a very sturdy system that lasts a long time and is also easy to connect to modern TVs. It's the kind of reliable product you expect from Nintendo, and it's a shame it had so few games. Still, it remains my favorite console.

The 64-bit successor of the Super Nintendo
Once again, one of the best consoles Nintendo has ever created! Packed with loads of games and there is still so much love for the Nintendo 64; the return of Mario64.nl proves that once again. If the control stick of your N64 is still working, then you will definitely experience that joy from the past again. And if not, the webshop has fully functional controllers ready for you!

My favorite!
The Nintendo 64 is one of my favorite consoles, mainly because of the entertaining games, as the Nintendo 64 cannot play DVDs or CDs. Nintendo always manages to create an original console, and the Nintendo 64 is a prime example of that.

The controller of the Nintendo 64 may look a bit unusual with its 3 handles and the joystick in the middle, but it's really not that strange. You get used to it very quickly.
If you collect a lot of Nintendo items, this is a must-have. This is where the current era of gaming actually began!

What is the history of the Nintendo 64?
The Nintendo 64 is Nintendo's third video game console. The first one was the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) from 1983 and the second one was the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) from 1990. The Nintendo 64 was released on March 23, 1996 in Japan and on March 1, 1997 it was Europe's turn. When the Nintendo 64 was released in Europe, there were only 3 games available: Super Mario 64, Pilot Wings, and Star Wars Shadow of the Empire. The Nintendo 64 was the first system with 64-bit graphics and four controller ports.
What was the Nintendo 64 called during development?
During the development of the Nintendo 64, it was called Project Reality. This name was chosen because the graphics of this game console would be in 3D. This was immediately evident in Super Mario 64, where players had the freedom to go anywhere (or fly) they wanted and were no longer confined to a straight path. Players felt like they were exploring a whole new world. The Nintendo 64 first appeared in the spotlight on November 24, 1995 as the Nintendo Ultra 64 at the 7th annual Shoshinkai Software Exhibition in Japan. Five months before the Nintendo 64 hit the stores in Japan, "Ultra" was dropped from the name.
What contributed to the success of the Nintendo 64?
PlayStation was the biggest competitor of the Nintendo 64, with a market share of 51% compared to 40% for Nintendo 64. The success of the Nintendo 64 was attributed to Super Mario 64, Super Smash Bros, and Zelda Ocarina of Time, which were exclusive to the Nintendo 64. There were also plenty of hits for older players such as GoldenEye 007, Resident Evil 2, Shadow Man, and Turok 2.

How can I protect my pets from electrical cords?
If you have a cat or dog in your living room, it's important to take measures to protect your cords. For example, a few years ago, a cord was chewed and damaged, rendering it unusable. Consider using long protective tubing around your cords to prevent this from happening.
